Here is a list of natural short term cures to relieve the pain of gout:

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is an old remedy from the United States. It has been championed as a remedy for colds, headaches, sore throat, and, of course, gout.

Drink 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar diluted with at least 3 times as much water. (If you can't find apple cider vinegar you can try another natural vinegar.) usually honey is used with the drink to sweeten it and make it more palatable. However, I recommend that those suffering from gout pain do not use honey or other sweeteners. I will write again about this when writing about the choice of foods necessary to cure it.

Lemons, Limes and Limons

The juices of lemons, limes and lemons are used in fixing the disease of gout. Use the juice the same as in the discussion of apple cider vinegar above.

Baking Soda

Some people recommend taking 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in water, but limited to 4 teaspoons in 24 hours. After the pain is controlled cut back to no more than than 1 teaspoon per day. Baking soda is also used as an old medicine for cancer and other diseases.

Don't consume baking soda within 2 hours of eating or within 1 hour of consuming apple cider vinegar or citrus fruit juice.

Water

Drink lots of water. Drink plain water when you are not using it mixed with citrus fruit, apple cider vinegar or baking soda.

Bananas

Believe it! Eat nothing but bananas for at least 3 or more days. Yes, you can do it! I lived on just juice from vegetables for 50 days and nights. Bananas have a lot of the mineral potassium. Gout sufferers are almost certainly lacking in potassium. Besides, eating only a diet that is healthy for 3 days, will eliminate the foods and additives that are bad for you.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is the newly rediscovered vitamin that is the answer for several of our problems. So get out in the sun and exercise! The direct sunshine on your perspiring skin will create the natural vitamin D. It is best to avoid the strong mid-day sunlight hours. If you don't have much sunlight then buy vitamin D tablets.

Exercise

Exercise is beneficial for you, even if you don't have gout. But you already knew that , didn't you? See the discussion of Vitamin D in the previous paragraph.

Spices

Spices not only taste good, but additionally are very good for your health as well. Turmeric, chili (cayenne pepper) and nutmeg are spices that have been found helpful as natural gout cures.
