Are You Having A Hard Time Decorating For A Baby Shower? It Can Be Tough Locating Good Decorations
My sister and I planned a baby shower for one of our nieces. We made the decision to have it in the fellowship area of the community church due to the fact that it was a large guest list. We had the baby shower party on a Saturday afternoon. We did not want to get too elaborate with the baby shower decorations because we needed to have the complete area cleaned out instantly after the party. We did want to have a few decorations for baby shower to give the room a celebratory air. There is a cradle that's passed to each new mother for the baby to sleep in for the first four to six weeks. This bassinet was my mother's. We determined that we would use the bassinet as the heart of our baby shower party decorations.
The fellowship section has large round tables that seat ten people. We moved one table off on its own to be the gift table. We covered this table with a smooth pink table cloth; our niece has learned she is having a girl. We set the cradle in the center of the table. We decided to use our presents for the baby shower decorations. I had purchased a pink and white baby blanket, which we draped over the side of the cradle. We pinned several rattles and other infant toys to the blanket with diaper pins. We then showed the little outfits that my sister had bought. We finished the baby shower decorations for the gift table by placing a big stuffed bear into the cradle. It is so much fun to decorating for a baby shower!
For the food service table we had an arrangement of fresh flowers from the local florist. She used soft pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the arrangement. We determined that no other baby shower festive decorations needed to be put on this table. We did have pink napkins that we put on this table, along with a cake that was decorated with a stork holding a small doll in a pink frosting blanket.
We had also ordered a corsage for our niece and one for every of the new grandmothers to be. We felt that the room looked very good and we would not have to spend a great deal of time cleaning up baby shower decorations because they would all be sent home as gifts to our niece.
We had a great turn out for the baby shower party. My niece received quite a few very nice presents. She was glad that we had the baby shower party in a space that was not cramped. As she progresses with the maternity she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 moments after the shower was over the fellowship area was cleaned up and we were on our way home.
